You are typically getting enough nutrition if you are able to gain or maintain your weight and you feel good. If you are recuperating from surgery, have an infection, or a wound that is not healing, you may need more calories, vitamins, and minerals every day. If you are not feeling well, losing weight, or not healing after surgery or an injury, contact your healthcare provider to see if you need to increase the amount of tube feeding formula you are receiving each day or switch to a formula with more calories.
If you have further questions, speak to your healthcare provider.
